At the Future Retail Center, SAP Research Switzerland has gathered research results from SAP world-wide and integrated them with standard SAP retail software and processes as well as innovations from 12 different partner companies. For SAP Research 'Living Labs' like the Future Retail Center represent a key step along the innovation process: following after the invention and first prototyping phase, the technologies are taken one step closer towards commercialization by exposing them to customers and partners. In this talk we will present how the Future Retail Center was initiated, and its Business Model. An overview of the technologies - many based on Internet of Things technologies - will be given as well as an outlook. We will present a movie and a demonstration of retail technologies in Second Life.
